After Charlie got out of school on Friday, we loaded up and headed north. We went to Burt's Pumpkin Farm in Dawsonville, GA. We decided since it would take a little while to get there that Charlie could take his afternoon nap in the car. It was about an hour to an hour and a half drive. It was a beautiful drive though. What beautiful fall color! Plus, Daniel and I got to have a decent conversation without any interruptions. Usually, it's "Mama, what's that?", "Mama, go! The light turned green!" "Mama, talk to ME!", "Mama, where are we going today?", mama, mama, mama. I relished in the quiet that came from the backseat.
Our afternoon was spent seeing all the pumpkins both large and small...
We took the hayride through the woods and the pumpkin patch. Charlie was a little uneasy the whole trip on the hayride but he must have enjoyed it since he kept asking to go ride on the trailer again. 
Daniel and Charlie picked out some pumpkins for us to take home...

I got some GREAT pictures of the boys and remembered to turn the camera on me as well...
Charlie wore himself out doing what he does best...running!

But, one of the best parts of the trip for me was...boiled peanuts! We just don't have those in Metro ATL. This southern girl has been missing her boiled peanuts!
I think this trip may become an annual thing for the Ward family. We had such a great time!
