I love springtime. I love to see everything turn green from the dead sticks of winter. I love to plant things in the ground and nurture them in hopes that they will bloom/grow so beautifully. However, due to our watering ban (droughts are no fun!) and budget constraints on a one-income household, I've had to put the green thumb in my pockets for a while. But, lucky for me, I planted some perennials a couple of years ago and these plants, no matter how much or how little water they've gotten, always bloom in the spring. Here are my little green sprouts:

I also have a bed that appears to be barren for most of the year. But around February these little green sprouts pop up and by March, they are the most beautiful daffodils. Unfortunately, they only bloom for a couple of weeks. When we moved into this house, which was in July, this bed, as I said, looked like just a pile of dirt. I had intended to, the next spring, plant some flowers in it but lo and behold, the daffodils, fortunately, popped up before I could get to the bed. These make great pictures!
