Philip - 4 months old

Philip turned 4 months old on Saturday, the 27th. He's just growing by leaps and bounds. He's doing much better with holding his head up and can do so for a while now. Philip eats and sleeps like a champ. You can tell he's eating well just by looking at him. And, yes, it's still just mama's milk. Naps during the day are getting longer and we're down to two, sometimes three, naps a day and he'll sleep for about 8 hours at night.

Philip has begun to grasp things. He's not reaching for much yet but if you hand him something, he will grab it most of the time. He's become great friends with the elephants hanging on his bouncy seat. I'm anxious for him to begin talking to them. He has begun to make cute little baby sounds and has such a cute laugh. Charlie had him cackling the other night by playing peek-a-boo with him. Philip's easy-going and content wherever he is, just like his daddy. He only fusses when he's hungry which I think he gets from his mommy.

We visited the pediatrician yesterday for Philip's 4 month well check-up. Only two shots and an oral vaccination. He's at 17 lbs. 14.4 oz (upper 90%). His length is 27 inches (97%) and his head circumference is 17 3/4 inches (97%). Philip was doing all the things they asked me like grasping things, sounds, rolling over, etc.
