36 weeks

36 week OB appt. was today. It was the usual routine. BP was 110 over 60 something but it didn't seem to concern anyone. That's lower than my usual. I took a good look at my chart today to get my weight numbers correct. One month ago I was 155. Two weeks ago I was 161. Today I am at 160. So I have put on a total of 15 pounds.

Once in the exam room, the doc felt around the belly. Baby is most likely head down from her feeling around and from where she found the heartbeat. Baby's heartrate was between 140 and 145. Doc also swabbed me for the strep B test (usual procedure at 36 weeks) and then checked my cervix. I am 2 cm dilated with little to no effacement. She said this is usual with a second or third pregnancy and is nothing to be concerned about. So, Mom and MIL...don't pack your bags yet! :) I guess I do need to atleast think about packing a bag for me though since we're down to the last few weeks!

Painting in the nursery is done! Well, all but finishing the big truck on the wall. That's up to me to get done as I can. Daniel's mom was up last weekend to paint and my dad was up this past weekend to finish out everything. I was impressed at how much each of them got done while they were here! Daniel hung right in there with them and made great progress as well. Daniel and Dad got the crib put together and moved the dresser into the room. That made a huge difference. We've still got a few things to get on the walls so I'm holding off to post pics until that is done. If you want a sneak peek, you'll just have to come visit. :) It's most definitely a kid's room and I'm afraid I might have overdone it a little but we'll see once everything is in there.

My goal right now is to get the posts done that I'm behind on and to get the little things done in the nursery like finishing the decorating, washing and putting up baby clothes, etc. Where I'm going to find the energy to do all of that, I don't know. I was hoping the nesting syndrome would kick in but no luck so far. Maybe I can figure out a way to steal some of Charlie's energy!
