I have reached the miserable stage of being pregnant. I'm never comfortable, especially when I sleep. I've been lucky this time with little to no swelling in my feet and ankles. Amazing, I know. I've definitely been counting my blessings on that one! My issue this go 'round is walking in general. I've pulled/stretched some muscles (we won't mention where) that have made it difficult to walk. Yesterday, I went to push a box out of my way with my foot. Needless to say, the box did not move but my muscles did. I immediately felt the consequences and was unable to even lift my feet until today. To the point that Daniel had to literally pick up my feet and legs so I could lie down in bed. I've done well today though. Luckily, the soreness didn't stick with me.
After my appt last Tuesday, I have progressively been praying this baby comes soon. That night, well morning, around 3:45 am or so, I got up to go to the bathroom. When I laid back down, I just didn't feel right. Then, I found out why...the contractions began. These were different than my usual Braxton Hicks contractions. These were very low on the belly. They were coming about every 4-6 minutes but weren't very strong. I did wake Daniel up around 5:00 just because of the timing of the contractions being so close together. We discussed not having a bag packed and not having the car seat in among many other to do things. The contractions, however, did stop. I think my last one was around 6:20 am. I haven't had another one since then other than the usual Braxton Hicks contractions.
I went to my weekly OB appt. today. Everything checked out good. Weight is 161.6. Baby's heartrate was around 150. I am dialated to somewhere between 2 1/2 - 3 cm and about 70% effaced. So, it could be any day now or two weeks from now...who knows! I'm ready for sooner rather than later. :)
I got a burst of energy this afternoon and got to working in the kitchen and in the baby's room. I'm anxious to get it finished. I'm not sure if it was a little bit of the nesting syndrome that kicked in today or just that I'm tired of having to sit around due to lack of energy. I also wanted to be a little more prepared after my doc visit today in case the physical exam was the cause of my contractions last time and don't stop this time.
So, come on baby Philip! We're ready any time you are! :)
