the reward chart

We have been struggling with Charlie to get him to visit the potty to "doo" his business instead of doing the houdini act and then messing up his pants.  I decided to implement a reward chart.  I have tried this in the past but had no luck.  It just never really clicked but I was hoping that now that he is older, it might just work.  So far so good.  He seems to really want to put stickers on the chart and gets excited to do so.  I did improve it though so that after each 5 times he uses the potty and not his pants, he gets to go somewhere.  He picked the places (with a little coersion).  The first reward is to go to the park.  The second is to go to Toys R Us.  The third is to go bowling.

Charlie reached his first goal of 5 times on Saturday.
So, we loaded up and went to the park.   Charlie was so excited and so proud of himself!  He even got to try out the big kids' playground.

Philip got to reap the benefits as well and had a great time too!

As I post this, he is up to #7 on the chart and is anxiously awaiting a trip to Toys R Us to see the police car and the 4-wheeler and the jeep and the Lightning McQueen.  :)  See previous posts for the pics of the Power Wheels aisle...
