Philip is now two months old. Those two months seem to have flown by but at the same time, it seems like he has always been with us. I've been calling him my little piglet because he is a stout little boy that eats all the time. He's already outgrown his 0-3 month clothes so he's now in 3-6 months. I've put a few things on him that are 6 month size! Probably another week or so and he'll probably have outgrown the 3-6 months size. :\ Philip had his two-month well visit with the pediatrician. He weighed in at 14 lbs 4 oz! He's now 24.5 inches long. Head circumference was 16.5 inches. Those measurements put him in the upper 90% for his age in all three areas. The doc said he was measuring about the size of a 4 month old.
He also got shots - two in one leg and one in the other leg. He was given an oral immunization as well. I think it's the Rotovirus one. Philip has been a little more fussy than usual. Charlie never had any reactions/problems with immunizations so I'm hoping Philip will do as well with them.
Daniel and I have been discussing how to move Philip's sleeping schedule a little. It's funny to me how they just fall into their own little schedule and there's not much you can do about it. Right now, Philip isn't going to sleep for the night until about midnight or 1 am. Some nights it's later. So, one of us is up until then. He's usually up again to eat between 6 and 7 am. If I could nap during the day, it wouldn't be so bad but I'm having to get up and take Charlie to school so it's wearing on me. I always feel bad for Daniel staying up since he has to work the next day. I'm usually waking Daniel up around midnight because I just can't stay up any longer. He says he doesn't mind, which I am thankful for. I did talk with the pediatrician today and she gave me a few things to try. We'll see how those work.
Philip has started to coo a little. We've begun to see many smiles as well. Those will just make your day! One of Charlie's favorite things to do now is to try and get Philip to smile. He just gets so excited to see Philip smile! He asks me alot, "get Philip to smile" which means he wants us both to sit there and talk to Philip to try and get him to give us a smile.
Charlie continues to do well with Philip. We still have to constantly get on to him for being in Philip's face. I honestly don't think this will improve for a while. I was thinking about it the other day and all I do is hug and kiss on Philip. Why would Charlie be any different? However, with him attending school, he's just gonna have to learn to fight the urge.
Between being a chauffeur and a milking cow, I don't get much done around the house these days. For example, I started this post on Monday. It's finally getting published today...as in Thursday, 4 days later! However, my boys (all 3 of them) are my loves and my life. There's nothing in this world I would trade them for! (Ok...maybe for a day for just me.)
