our weekend...

We had a busy weekend. I finally took some time to focus just on baby. No test. No studying (even though I should have been). Daniel's mom and dad were up visiting for his birthday. Poor thing had to work all day on his birthday. I think he was glad to get some things done at the house though. I had them moving lots of furniture out of the nursery and rearranging furniture downstairs. Why is it that things are always bigger in a room than you think they are going to be? They also fixed the subfloor in the guest bathroom and laid a new floor. They did a great job!

My mother-in-law started the painting in the nursery. It was just torture having to sit back and watch her. I know that sounds funny but I love to do that kind of stuff and knowing that I am perfectly capable but am just not allowed since I'm pregnant was really tough. I have relunctantly relinquished painting as long as I can paint the stripes. I'll get to paint some airplanes too though. I gave up on the mural idea. I know I said I had convinced myself to do it but I had an epiphany one day last week. It's still the mural idea, just better, I think. I'll just leave it at that and post pictures when it's done. It's going to be much easier too!

We also bought a crib and changing table combo on Saturday. Why is everything I want discontinued? The bedding I wanted...discontinued. I found a crib that I loved...discontinued. Luckily, they had one in stock so I went ahead and got the two pieces I needed. I hope I don't need any other pieces that go with it. They will be delivered on Friday! Here's a link so you can see it. We got it in a brandy finish (medium shade of stained wood) instead of the white. http://www.babyjunctionga.com/dyn/prodpage.php?action=proddetail&pageid=products&id=67

Well, I think that about covers it. Daniel and I took it easy Sunday afternoon. We've got some work still to do. Well, I say we...Daniel still has some work to do. I have to study. Next test is Tuesday the 13th! Time to go into panic mode! So if you don't hear much out of me the rest of the week, you'll know why.

I must before I stop blabbing on and on...give a BIG shoutout to my father-in-law and mother-in-law. They were real troopers this weekend in helping us get alot done at the house. Daniel and I both really appreciated the hard work they put in for us.
